Commissioning a painting is an ideal option if...

  • You are looking for work on a particular scale and/or within a budget. (Dimensions are completely flexible). There is a particular piece or style of work from my past/sold works that you are particularly drawn to which is not available in the current selection of work.

  • You would like to purchase a number of complimentary pieces to fill an office (or home) setting.

  • How to proceed…

  • Become acquainted with the full range of work I do, by browsing my collections of Abstract and Landscape paintings. It helps me to best understand your vision for a custom painting if you are able to refer to my past works that most appeal to you, and the elements of these paintings (palette, composition etc.) that you would most like to see in your piece.

  • Decide on the dimensions of your painting. The materials for you painting will be custom made, so sizing is completely flexible.

I recommend visualizing the size of the proposed painting on your wall by taping out the corners or perimeter of the piece and adjusting as needed.

  • A quote will be made based on the size of the piece (in comparison to the previous work that your commission is most closely based on). Prices for commissioned work are comparable to my listed prices for existing paintings on my website.

  • (Optional) Home / Office consultations can be arranged to discuss dimensions, palette, theme, etc.

  • (Optional) Virtual Mock-up of artwork in your space. You are welcome to send me a photo of the wall you have in mind for your painting, and I can put together some examples of artwork in varying theme and sizes to use as inspiration for your custom piece.

  • A 25% deposit will confirm your order

  • Commissions take upwards of 3 weeks for completion (depending on existing orders, upcoming shows etc.)

  • Rachel can arrange for packaging, shipping or delivery if necessary.
