All of my paintings are finished around the edge, so display beautifully without a frame. However, sometimes a painting calls for a frame, depending on the particular piece, décor, or personal preference.
A frame can really change the whole look and feel of a piece of art.
White or dark brown?:
I offer the option for custom framing for all of my pieces at a very reasonable rate. All frames are solid wood floater frames and can be finished in dark brown, painted white, or natural, with a range of frame face widths.
CONTACT RACHEL for a framing quote. Please provide dimensions of the painting to be framed.
My prints can be purchased unframed or in a Ikea, white, Ribba frame with the mat titled and signed:
If you choose to purchase your own Ikea frame, please note that the mat will cover the title and signature below the print. This can be easily remedied by having a framer cut you a custom mat large enough to reveal the title and signature, and sized right for the frame.
Some additional framing options:
1. Custom framing is an easy and flexible option. Framers offer a large variety of styles and colours to suit your taste.
2. However, as custom framing can be costly, you may want to shop around for a pre-made frame that fits the print/painting. Stores such as West Elm and Pottery Barn usually have a nice selection of standard-sized frames. If the mat of your chosen frame doesn't quite fit the print/painting, a custom framer can cut a mat to size. Be sure to have it cut large enough to reveal the title and signature below the print/painting. This option will be more economical than having the piece custom framed.
